Emily Labutte has been involved in music in the Chatham-Kent and London music scene since a young age. As a Chatham native, Emily attended the UCC Secondary School and participated in many of the music ensembles at the school.
Emily is attending the University of Western and is finishing up her Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a focus in music education. While at Western, Emily studied flute under Anne Thompson and Sharon Kahan and was given the opportunity to place in various large ensembles.
Emily is no stranger to Chatham Music Academy, studying piano under Devon Hansen for almost 5 years. She has grown to have a passion for music education and meeting students where they are at. She is super excited to be joining the team at Chatham Music Academy and is looking forward to passing on her love of music to the next generation.
