Laura is an honours graduate of the St. Clair College Musical Theatre Performance Program, as well as experienced teacher in the fields of music and drama. Following her graduation Laura has worked both on and off stage as an instructor for The Great Big Theatre Company, as well as Yamaha Music's- Children's Music Academy, where she headed up the Vocal Department for
four years. 

 

Laura then founded FREE BIRD STUDIOS where she continued to spread her love for the performing arts through group and private lessons to over 400 students. She has directed and produced numerous shows which have been featured in local theatres as well as toured through Ontario Fringe Festivals. She has been a featured soloist in many Professional venues throughout Ontario, and is also no stranger to a recording studio. 

 

Laura started off working in radio on air with CKSY and in recent years has acted and directed numerous published radio drama credits including "A Christmas Carol", "Alice in Wonderland", "Shadow of a Shapeshifter", and "Snow White" with Voices in the Wind Audio Drama which are available to download or in hard copy through Target, Chapters, Amazon and Audible, as well as at Libraries across the US and Canada. 

 

Laura is proud and honored to now be teaching music lessons and classes Chatham Music Academy, and looks forward to igniting passion in her future peers and students.
